Quilt

“Good Wishes Quilt”
As many of you know, Larry and I are hoping to adopt a baby. While we're waiting for munchkin to come home, we will be putting together this project. We want to create a "Good Wishes Quilt.” It is a custom (not a Mexican one :)) to invite people to contribute a square patch of cloth. The patches are sewn together into a quilt that contains the luck, energy, and good wishes from all the family and friends who contributed a piece of fabric. We love the idea as a way for munchkin to know how much he/she is wanted and loved by friends and family.

HERE IS WHAT I WOULD LIKE YOU TO DO:
1. Choose any 100% cotton fabric or flannel that you like. (something that represents your likes, for example I, of course, would choose a fabric with monkeys; it can also be a fabric that catches your eye, anything goes)
2. Cut one (1) 10"x 10” square from the fabric.
3. On a piece of paper or cardstock put a small piece of the fabric and include your "good wish note." Please remember to sign your wish and include your relation to munchkin or to munchkins mommy and daddy, city and date.

The fabric will be used to make a quilt, and the notes will be placed in a “good wish” scrapbook, for when munchkin is older. When munchkin is older we will be able to match the pieces of fabric on the quilt to the good wish send with it.

IDEAS FOR GOOD WISHES NOTE: Your wish can be simple or elaborate. Some ideas are good happiness, health, perseverance, compassion, love, or a poem. You get the picture.

Thank you so much for helping us make this very special keepsake for munchkin. If any of my "blogger friends" want to send a square & good wish just let me know and I will send you my address

Oh yeah for any of you still reading this, we would like to have the quilt made before munchkin goes of to college so get your pieces in :) lol

I will post some examples soon.
